With most Americans still suffering from the results of the Republicans negligence and incompetence in running Government, how to they suppose we will want to vote for them?





Do they want to run on a policy "we may be bad but Obama is worse"?



Do you really think that most Americans would believe this? Facts are we are no longer losing jobs by the millions like we were under Republicans Economic growth is slow now but is at least not contracting like it had been under them. Would you rather go forward or backwards?Are Republicans hoping for a case of mass amnesia. Is it still to early to forget their catastrophic policies?
Unfortunately Americans have an incredibly short memory and short attention spans and they are likely to forget the disaster that was the last Republican Congress. Unfortunately most get their news from television and their information on political matters from political ads of all things. Our collective failure to know more and think clearly often dooms us to elect charlatans and the Republican Party relies upon shallow understanding of what elections are really about. A few nifty sound bites and doublespeak is all they might need. Sad.
Despite Democrats attempts to label this mess as the result of "failed policies" of the Bush years it is clear that, until Democrats took control of Congress these "failed policies" were actually working. The electorate generally understands that Republicans were fought by Democrats when they asked questions and expressed concerns over the subprime mortgage business.



It is the Democrats who need a bit of electoral Alzheimer's not the Republicans. Seems like you already got your dose.Are Republicans hoping for a case of mass amnesia. Is it still to early to forget their catastrophic policies?
Some people just don't get it....the Democrats and Republicans are to blame for the position we are in today. Our government is so large and out of control nothing can be done correctly any more. Each day there are more and more examples of the ineptness of this bureaucratic nightmare of a government we have today. The inflated wages and benefits we pay them and the very poor results we receive from them is unacceptable at best. Our politicians are egomaniacs and do not listen to what the people want anymore...they know what is best for us they say..... Stop blaming the Republicans for all that is wrong today. They all put politics before this country ......Wake up!
Both parties helped to cause this problem. Before Bush, these problems were in the works. He assisted them. Now those problems came to fruition. But instead of learning from Bush %26amp; Clinton, etc., Obama is just making the same mistakes, but on a grander scale. Of course, each administration is pushing their own agenda, but the way they push it is the same: with money we don't have. They encourage citizens to buy with money they didn't have. It's both parties fault. STOP SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY! neither party has done this successfully. Lower taxes for everyone! You'll have growth! I guarantee it. Free the market! It will hurt sometimes, but when it does, they cannot jump back in with stimulus money. Let it go. Well are democrats expecting change? For the good.no one voted on a president to just make any decision he wants because he can always say "it's bush's fault". I'd rather live in The America that was built on the constitution and be in "debt" like the false graphs dems put up than live in the socialist country Obama is trying to make it
Well first of all they have no understanding of the difference between debt and deficit. So what's the point in talking economics with them???



Secondly - they could care less about economics. What gets right-wingers out to the polls is the promise of locking up gays and Mexicans. Blacks used to be in there too but the NAACP and similar groups seem to be succeeding in standing up to the militant right.
Almost 70% of the deficit is because of BUSH tax cuts (expire end of year) and the two wars we are fighting. SO STFU RETARDLICANS! It's not Obama's fault we are in the mess we are in. Don't be a victim of the Retardlican propaganda, it's all LIES!

Why are we in a recession? Because the banks collapsed due to large amounts of defaulted mortgage credit.

Why did we have large amounts of defaluts? Because the law was changed to allow people to get mortgages they could not prove they could afford?

Why did the laws change? Because the Democratic Congress under a Democratic president passed a law in the name of Affirmative Action so that common fiscal sense in denying a loan to someone who could not afford it could now possibly be a criminal practice.



Gee, it only took three, go figure.....



And for the record, the good times during the Clinton years were DIRECTLY due to the positive growth policies (low taxes, etc) enacted during the Reagan years. What most uneducated people (especially liberals) is that a change in an economic force takes YEARS to happen from the time it is implemented to the time we see the results. This happens in both directions. Clinton smoked us in 1999 with the Lending Act, and it took this long for the effects to be seen.
Neither Republicans or Democrats are competent of running anything. People talk about Obama being a catastrophe. Sure. We have been barreling down this path for decades. And you know what, people DO NOT GIVE A CRAP! You know what, in my state, not one incumbent lost in the primaries a couple of weeks ago. NOT ONE! And this country always complains about the country being ruined? No ###! Look at who gets put in office time and time again. How about getting past the damn (D) and (R) and actually looking at the actual candidate. They are all ruining the country!
"Mass amnesia" won't help...Dem voters were unaware to begin with...It's impossible to forget something that you never knew...



I remember all the way back to the end of 2006 when Democrats took control of congress, and the steady decline of the economy and increase in unemployment since that time...I remember how well my family was doing, and how easy it was to pay our mortgage and utility bills on time every month BEFORE the Democrats took control...I remember that we USED TO be able to eat just as well as my sister who lives on welfare and food stamps because she doesn't like to work...I am confused as to why the people who won't work are continually getting increases in their government checks and food stamps, while those of us who do work are able to afford less and less to support our families...That's why I will keep trying to vote the Democrats out.
